The City Club of Baton Rouge is a “home away from home” as well as an extension of the office. It offers a versatile environment to serve its members personal and professional needs. The City Club is a great place to build your professional and social network.
We offer various options to suit the needs of our Members. All levels provides you with access to all business, social and dining privileges at The City Club, as well as at our reciprocal clubs. In the tradition of fine private clubs, membership is only by invitation of a member. The Membership Director will assist prospective members in identifying a proposer and endorser.

Established in 1957, the City Club of Baton Rouge has been downtown Baton Rouge’s premier private member club with a rich history. The City Club is a Private Member Club, is owned by its members, governed by an elected Board of Governors, and managed by a professional staff who are charged with ensuring that the facility is operated in a manner that is consistent with the expectations of its membership. Our ongoing commitment is to enrich the professional and social lives of the GBR community, CCBR continues its mission and vision to provide our members, their families and guests with a private club experience that preserves our rich traditions while fostering camaraderie and lasting friendships in an welcoming environment in which our Members and their families can grow and flourish personally, professionally, and socially.

Additionally, our members enjoy a year-round calendar of events offering something for everyone. City Club boasts 14 meeting rooms, a second-floor private ballroom and veranda accommodating up to 250+ people. Our third floor has private dining, bar and board room. All level of membership requires two sponsoring Stockholder Members both in good standing. Only one (1) of the two (2) sponsors may be (i) a current member of the Board of Governors; (ii) a relative, whether by blood or marriage, of the applicant; or (iii) a business or professional associate of the applicant.). The sponsors shall also provide individual, signed written statements or a joint written statement signed by each sponsor, that (1) describes the nature of his or her relationship with the candidate, (2) includes an attestation that the character and integrity of the candidate matches that expected of a City Club member, and has a reputation of financial responsibility. Letters of recommendation further expounding upon the candidates qualifications or bringing other matters as are appropriate to bring to the attention of the Board of Governors are encouraged. All memberships will require an Initiation Fee incurred upon acceptance of the membership by the BOG, no portion of such fees is refundable or transferable. Initiation fees are not prorated. Plus, a required monthly Capital Preservation fee: $ 25.00.

Stockholder Members shall be persons thirty-five (35) years of age or older who reside or have their principal place of business within the parishes of East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, Iberville, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, and St. Helena (collectively “the Greater Baton Rouge Area”).
Resident Members must purchase one share Capital Stock for $500.00 ($200 due upon first statement, $100 due over following 3 months of membership)

Non-Resident Members shall be persons twenty-one (21) years of age or older who neither reside nor have their principal place of business within the Greater Baton Rouge Area. A Non-Resident Member and his or her spouse and immediate family shall enjoy the same privileges of the Club as those enjoyed by Stockholder Members, except they may not vote or hold office.

Young Professional Members shall be persons between the ages of twenty-one (21) and thirty-four (34) years residing or having their principal place of business within the Greater Baton Rouge Area who are not otherwise Stockholder Members. A Young Professional Member shall be entitled to all the privileges of a Stockholder Member except that of the right to vote and hold office.
■ YP I – Age 21-29
■ YP II – Age 30-34
*At Age of 35, he or she may pay the prevailing initiation fee for the purchase of a share of stock and the requirements for Stockholder Membership status shall be considered satisfied and, upon payment of such initiation fee, the Young Professional Member shall become a Stockholder Member.
